运动与健康英语演讲稿 篇1

health is the most important to us. 牛晨阳 good afternoon, my dear teachers and my fellow students. i am very glad to stand here and give you a speech.

my topic is about“health is the most important to us.” what do you think is the most important thing in our life? some people think time is the most important thing in our life. some people think money is the most important thing in our life. some people think friendship is the most important thing in our life. but i think health is the most important thing in our life. we live in this world, maybe there are many beautiful things. we can get something again and again, such as love, friendship, money and so on. but if we lose health, we can never get it back again. if you are in poor health, you will not feel these things and the world is always gray in your eyes. it’ s really serious.

just as a saying goes, “where there is health, there is hope. where there is hope, there is everything. ”so we can see that health is above everything. but how can we keep in good health? as we know, health lies in a good habit.healthy food and water are important for us to keep healthy. different food helps us in different ways.what’s more, get up early and keep doing exercise in the morning every day.

besides these, taking exercise helps us build a strong body. it is the most important. so having a healthy lifestyle is very important for everyone. there’s an old saying gose like this “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away.” it’s true. once you lost health ,you will get nothing. so,my dear friends ,please realize that health is the most important for us . that’s all. thanks!

Last but not least, we should go to bed early and wake up early. We should have enough sleep, or we will get sleepy in the day time. If we pay more attention to the tips above, we will have healthier body.

As the proverb goes, “no one knows the value ofhealth until he loses it.”

From this, we know thathealth is very important to everybody. But how to keepfit? Many people believe that sports can offer people health and pleasure. As far as I concern, I think doing physical exercises have lots of advantages.

First of all, doing exercises in the morning will refresh my body as well as give me a good appetite to eat my breakfast. What’s more, the air in the morning is really fresh and clean, so I can keep my mind clear and sound in the class. By doing physical every day I can keep my mind alert that I can finish my tasks in time. If I do not do any physical exercise, I will feel tired and my body becomes quite sluggish. During the night, I may find it becomes harder to fall asleep. Second, doing exercises everyday will help me to mound a better personality. It takes time and patient to do exercises. Sometimes I just want to give up, but my friends encourage me to carry on, then I feel a lot of satisfaction. Doing physical exercises makes me stronger and healthier. That’s my personal experience.

As a student, sports are indispensable. You can pick up your favorite sport and do it every day. Only in this way, you can have both pleasure and a healthy body.

Most of us are approaching the end of the year with reflections on the past 12 months, along with resolutions and hopes for the future.

In years past, we may have chalked that future up to genetics and a dose of good luck. But research now suggests we have much more of a hand in our destiny than previously believed. In fact, a number of straight-forward nutrition, fitness, sleep and other health tips can help assure you maximize the life in your years.

Here are six of those things that we learned in 2012.

1. An advanced age is no excuse to give up on healthy habits!

A 2012 study showed that exercise, eating right and avoiding harmful habits like smoking helped people 5.4 years longer than their less healthy-intentioned peers.

2. Exercise Really Works

Theres nothing new about the fact that exercise helps us live longer. But a recent study did take a closer look at just how powerful regular activity really is: The physically active benefit from several years added to their lives. The study found that for every additional hour of exercise (like jogging or swimming) that a black woman gets, she can gain 11 hours of lifespan.

3. Laugh More

As part of an ongoing study on genes and aging, researchers found this year that certain personality traits seem to be associated with a longer life, including the propensity to laugh -- a lot!

4. Look At The Bright Side

In the same study on aging, optimism was also linked to living longer. The 243 subjects over the age of 95 "were outgoing, optimistic and easygoing. They considered laughter an important part of life and had a large social network. They expressed emotions openly rather than bottling them up," study researcher Dr. Nir Barzilai, M.D., director of Einsteins Institute for Aging Research, said in a statement.

5. Supplements Can Help

Adults in their 60s and 70s were 9 percent less likely to die over a three-year period when they took vitamin D supplements with calcium, compared to the elderly who went without either supplement.

A number of other foods and nutrients have also been linked to a longer lifespan, including omega-3s and certain antioxidants.

6. We Know What To Do -- But We Rarely Do It All

The most important behaviors for a long and healthy life arent secrets -- theyre things like not smoking, exercising, maintaining a healthy weight and keeping blood pressure and cholesterol levels in check. In fact, you may even be tired of hearing about them. But just a little more than 1 percent of American adults actually abide by these guidelines, according to a 2012 study. People who do meet all the criteria? Well, they enjoy a 51 percent decreased risk of death from any cause.
